Help!?
Where am I here?
pics.alech.de is the photo website of Alexander Klink and a part of
www.alech.de. Here you can view photos I made during the last few years.
Why register?
Publicly viewable are only pictures, where no one can be seen. There are some exception to this rule, of course, for example when people allowed me to put their pictures online (I am always happy if someone allows me that :-). To view all the other pictures, you have to register. Normally, you can view all the other pictures then. Of course there are some more exceptions here, as well, some pictures are only viewable to the people who where there when they were taken.
If you've successfully registered, you can login within the image gallery by clicking on the lock sign -
.
How do I use this website?
From the homepage, you can reach the galleries - sorted by years. From there you see index print pages, where the photos are listed as thumbnails. A click on a photo brings you to the page where the photo can be seen in web resolution. Using yet another click on the photo, you can download the original (for example to print it), either in JPG or MRW (see below). On the right side there are some arrows to navigate between pictures or index pages. If you've got Javascript on, you might as well use the arrow keys to navigate.
What are these MRW files?
Some of the pictures I made with my Dimage A2 are taken in the so called RAW format (they have the ending MRW for Minolta RaW). These are in a way not yet developed negatives from the camera, here you only save what the CCD chip registers and no editing whatsoever is done. You can convert these pictures for example with
dcraw (
for Windows, too).
I've got more questions ...
If there are still open questions, don't hesitate
to ask.
